How would you respond to the suggestion that there are no absolute moral standards that apply to everyone?
I would definitely agree. I would agree and ask that person why they think so. I know why i would think so. It's because every culture is different. Every background has a depth in tradition and personalities that are looked up to and looked down upon. If there is one thing that we learn in social studies classes, its the diversity of cultures and the differences in the weights and standards held to a person. Also, the era a person lives in, the time they are alive, helps define what moral standards to live by. Times change, and to suggest that any one standard will stay the same for all people forever, is just silly.

Karma
Karma cannot be the universal standard of right and wrong, because as followers of Hinduism, you as told that your feelings determine what choice of action is the right one. The video defines the word karma as action. Karma is used to determine someones destiny and is the reason for all that happens to a person. The concept of karma, makes evil the humans fault. Karma makes it easy to coast in life, because everything happens to you because of something you, or a previous you, has already done. Makes it so that a person cannot easily be themselves. Karma makes morality dependent on the individual situation. There is no definitive answer other than the one that makes you feel the best. That is why Karma cannot be held to a universal standard of right and wrong.
