As you share your faith with your friends, what are some things that you need to keep in mind to be an effective witness? 35 points, due Mon 12:00pm

First of all, the main point in sharing your faith with your friends, is to plant the seed or thought, that God is what they need. The bible says that there is nothing that we, as humans, can possibly do to bring someone to salvation. So with that said, the best way to bring a person to Christ is to show them compassion and all of the Fruits of the Spirit. A good thing to let them know is that Christianity is different from all other religions in the world because salvation isn't earned through works. It is earned through faith. All we have to do to secure eternal life in Heaven, is believe that Jesus Christ came down, took a human form, and died for all of our sins at the perfect sacrifice.

When defending your faith to a friend who might be skeptic, it is always important to never use the bible as proof. If everyone believed in the bible as a reliable source then there would be no real argument. But because people don't believe in the bible, using the bible is rendered obsolete because it becomes irrelevant to them. Using the bible to defend Christianity is like using a Harry Potter book to prove to someone that Harry Potter is real. Some important things to make clear, are the terminologies that you use. Most people done know what the Trinity would mean, or even what salvation would imply. It is important that your friend would know what think of when you talk about things that they don't know about. Also, it is important to make things personal for them; but you shouldn't make things about them. Stay away from phrases like "you need to" or "if you do this". Try to make it seem like a personal biography of how you grew in your faith.

Worldviews Intro #1

What is a worldview and how do I go about developing a Christian Worldview?

A worldview is the way we view our world and our place we live in. It answers the questions, Why are we here?, What is the purpose of life?,and “s there a difference between right and wrong?. A worldview is a way of viewing life. It is like wearing glasses. One would look through the glasses at the world in order to see it differently. Another thing that a worldview is like, are a trees roots. Roots are what holds down a tree, and they give it its life, and foundation.

You can create your own worldview by doing whatever you think is right. but, if you wanted to follow a religious worldview, you would immerse yourself in its teachings, and accept its beliefs. In order to create a Christian worldview, one would have to find someone they trust and ask them the questions that a worldview should answer. Christianity should engulf their thoughts and their way of living. You would have to make it your duty to learn its requirements.

english mere christianity: 1

36.   God works through nature, through our bodies, through books, and sometimes through experiences which seem, at the time, anti-Christian.
God has worked through nature and people and stuff, but i do not think that he does anymore. I would definitely disagree with the statement above. Regardless to whether or not the actions may seem anti-christian or not, I would say that he doesn't work at all. At any point, for him to be "working" there would have to be some supernatural miracle. There is no room for God in nature at the moment, because everything has an explanation. A time when God would be working through people or nature would maybe be when Jesus was on earth doing miracles, because he was actually doing things for a reason. But nowadays, there wouldn't be any reason for God to interfere with our physical realm. I say this because in the bible it says that there is literally nothing we, as humans, can do to bring others to Christ. anything else supernatural would be pointless. God wouldn't do miracles on earth only to glorify himself. That is dumb.
Also, Jesus said that he had to leave earth in order to make it possible for the Holy Spirit to come to earth. So if Jesus is gone, there can be no earthly caused miracles. With Jesus gone, there is only the Spirit. The Holy Spirit, who lives inside of us, could arguably compel us to do things to glorify God, but ultimately it is us who are doing the actions. So i would disagree with the assumption that God even does anything in our physical world! I believe that when Jesus left our earth, he also left with the possibility to do anything about anything. But i wouldn't deny that God cannot do anything. The bible would say that God won't do anything, at least until the end of times.
